CSG Board members welcome opportunities to further the work of Creation Evangelism in the Upstate and elsewhere. The following is a list of recent requests for creation-centered programs and CSG's responses: - Stuart Patterson was invited by Pastor Joe Franks to speak in an evening service of Palmetto Hills Presbyterian Church, Fountain Inn, SC. He accepted the invitation and demonstrated the unity of Scripture and science to an enthusiastic congregation.
- Oscar Thorsland, at the invitation of Dr. David Gallamore, Pastor of Rock Springs Baptist Church, Easley, SC, presented the scientific evidence for a young earth to an open meeting for discipleship training.
- Al Anderson filled a request for a Noah's Ark program in an evening service at Bethel Bible Missionary Church, Greenville, SC, where Vardrey Fleming is Pastor. There Al learned that their children don't often hear "evolution" as a term, but its concepts are woven throughout their public-school studies.
- Pastor Mark Evans of Hope Presbyterian Church, Greenville, SC, invited Al Anderson to speak at a regional meeting of the Association of Ministers of the Reformed Faith. To an appreciative audience there, he presented the importance of a young universe to the Gospel of Jesus Christ, a creation issue of which many Christians are unaware.
- Jon Orcutt was interviewed by Dr. Paul Dean, host of "Calling for Truth" on Christian Talk Radio, WLFJ, 660AM. He discussed the appointment of Dr. Kurt Wise, world-famous, creationist paleontologist, as Head of the Center for Theology and Science at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.
- Jon also looks forward to a fall presentation on "The Undeniables of Genesis" at Unity Presbyterian Church, Easley, SC, where Mark Wright is Pastor. Jon's presentation will note the obvious, undeniable truths found throughout the Word of God.
We invite you and your churches to participate in CSG's evangelistic ministry. Please pray for the success of these efforts to stimulate the Christian community to return to accepting the Bible as inerrant, infallible and authoritative.
